For Suzie

My friend Suzie liked the fabric bead necklace
I wore to lunch when she was here for a short visit.
So I made her one.

It is in the mail now,
and I hope she likes it.

I really enjoy making these fabric beads
and they are perfect for using tiny scraps.

  2. I love this necklace and I'm not much one for jewelry in any form. This makes me think of your fidget quilts. :-)

    1. Thanks, Melody! Making the beads is a meditative kind of activity. I added some to one of my fidget quilts, but kept making beads and didn't know what I was going to do with all of them. When I strung them into a necklace and got a compliment, I was thrilled. Making one for Suzie was especially fun!

    1. Thanks, Stefanie! We have been friends since the 7th grade, and it was a pleasure to work on each little bead.

  5. That is so pretty- you've got a great eye for colour, as I've already seen with your quilts.
